constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by your use of this site. AI-assisted
documents generated by the Platform are not attorney work product and do not constitute legal advice unless and
until a licensed attorney has been formally engaged, payment for attorney review services has been received, and
the attorney has reviewed and delivered the document. Please review this Privacy Policy carefully before using
our services.
1 Who We Are
CITE8, Inc., a Georgia corporation (“Cite8,” “Company,” “we,”
“us,” or “our”), operates the website located at
cite8.ai and all associated subdomains, mobile applications,
APIs, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). We provide AI-assisted legal document preparation
tools and attorney referral services to individuals and businesses.

2 Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated automatically by your use of the Platform:
Information You Provide
- Account registration data (name, email address, phone number, password)
- Legal intake questionnaire responses and case details you submit
- Documents you upload, create, or modify on the Platform
- Payment information processed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
- Communications with attorneys or with our support team
- Attorney profile information (bar number, practice areas, biography, photo)
- Identity verification data submitted during attorney onboarding
Information Collected Automatically
- IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
- Pages visited, features used, session duration, and click-stream data
- Cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)
- Log data, including error reports and performance diagnostics
- Inferred location data based on IP address
Information From Third Parties
- Payment and fraud signals from Stripe
- Analytics data from Microsoft Azure and Application Insights
- Identity verification data from third-party verification providers
3 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Platform and its features
- Generate AI-assisted legal documents based on your intake responses
- Facilitate connections between clients and licensed attorneys
- Process payments and prevent fraudulent transactions
- Send transactional communications (verification codes, session notifications, receipts)
- Send marketing communications where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time)
- Comply with legal obligations, respond to legal process, and enforce our Terms
- Protect the security and integrity of the Platform
- Conduct internal analytics and research to improve our services
- Train and improve our AI models using aggregated, de-identified data
We do not use your legal intake information or document content to train AI models in a way that could identify
you personally without your explicit consent.
4 Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Attorneys
- When you request attorney services, we share relevant case information with the attorney you engage.
- Service Providers
- We share data with vendors who help operate the Platform (cloud hosting, payment processing, email/SMS delivery, analytics). These parties are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
- Legal Requirements
- We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CITE8, Inc. or others.
- Business Transfers
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you of any change in data ownership.
- Aggregated / De-identified Data
- We may share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify you.
- With Your Consent
- We will share information in other circumstances with your explicit consent.
5 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
We may retain certain information for longer periods where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce
our agreements. Deleted documents are soft-deleted and permanently purged from our systems after 30 days.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at
privacy@cite8.ai.
Certain records (payment history, attorney communications) may be retained as required by applicable law and
professional regulations.
6 Your Rights — California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know
- You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete
- You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct
- You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale / Sharing
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
- You may limit our use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service.
- Right to Non-Discrimination
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

7 Your Rights — Other Jurisdictions

The Platform is operated in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your
information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to
this transfer.
8 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

- Required for authentication, session management, and security. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

- Remember your preferences (e.g., cookie consent choice, theme, timezone).

We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.
9 Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information,
including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security assessments.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and
disclaim all liability for unauthorized access to or disclosure of your information that is beyond our
reasonable control.
10 Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided personal information, we will
promptly delete it. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us at
privacy@cite8.ai.
11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on
the Platform or by email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Platform after
the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
